Google has introduced URL Contains targeting to its Performance Max (PMax) feature, a tool also available in Dynamic Search ads (DSA). This functionality allows you to specify which URLs their PMax ads should appear on, providing more control over ad targeting.

URL Contains targeting gives marketers greater control over ad placements. It enables them to choose specific URLs or pieces of text within URLs where their ads will be displayed. This precision helps in reaching a more relevant and specific audience for their brand.
❓How It Works:
You can target pages with URLs containing specific text, known as a "token." Tokens are text pieces enclosed by delimiters like "/", "-", ":", "?", "+", and "&" within URLs. For instance, if you sell Nike shoes, you can target URLs containing "/shoes" to ensure your ads appear on relevant pages.

Google has confirmed that this feature is part of its efforts to enhance DSA use cases in PMax. The URL Contains targeting in PMax functions similarly to DSA, providing a consistent experience for you.
