đ§ Where did the attention go?
A wide gap between CTR (All) and CTR (Link) usually gets interpreted the same way.
People are engaging with the post but not clicking through, so the copy must be working while the creative needs improvement. Thatâs often a reasonable conclusion, but it isnât the only explanation. The same metric pattern can point to two completely different behaviors, and treating them as identical often sends the next round of testing in the wrong direction.
One metric. Two very different stories.
CTR (All) combines multiple actions into a single number.
Someone who expands the copy, likes the post, leaves a comment or clicks the image all contribute to the same metric.
That means a large gap between CTR (All) and CTR (Link) can reflect two very different outcomes.
The dashboard shows the same pattern in both cases. The underlying behavior is completely different.
The missing metric is what happens after the click
Before changing the ad, compare what happened on the landing page.
Take the high-gap ad and measure its landing page conversion rate against another ad with a much smaller CTR gap.
The comparison usually reveals which story youâre looking at.
High CTR gap + strong landing page conversion often means the copy filtered out casual readers and sent a smaller, higher-intent audience to the site.
High CTR gap + average or weak landing page conversion can indicate the opposite. The post resolved so much curiosity that many people never needed to click, leaving behind a less qualified group still looking for answers.
Without that third metric, both situations look identical inside the ads dashboard.
Read the funnel, not just the ad
CTR tells you where attention went. Landing page conversion tells you whether that attention arrived with buying intent.
Neither metric is complete on its own.
Connecting them turns a useful observation into a reliable diagnosis and prevents the next creative brief from solving the wrong problem.
A wide CTR gap isnât automatically a sign that your copy is working or failing. Itâs simply the point where you stop reading the ad metrics and start reading the funnel.
đ Costs dropped and returns held â the cleaner efficiency setup is back
Last week brought a more stable signal environment than the two prior weeks, click costs fell across several major platforms while conversion rates and returns held or improved, creating one of the more actionable setups for budget decisions heading into August.
The Breakdown:
CPC - Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and AppLovin all saw click costs fall while Microsoft and Snapchat pushed higher, where CPCs dropped alongside improving CvR and ROAS like Meta and TikTok, push winning creatives harder and test incrementally higher budgets this week.
CAC - Meta, TikTok, AppLovin, Microsoft, Snapchat, and Google all improved while YouTube and Pinterest barely moved, with CAC improving across this many platforms simultaneously, run a controlled 15â20% spend increase on the top three performers and set a hard CAC ceiling before scaling further.
ROAS - Pinterest led at +7.98% and Microsoft posted +7.34% while YouTube slipped to -1.86%, both Pinterest and Microsoft are producing strong returns at minimal budget share, making them the clearest reallocation targets; move spend from YouTube where ROAS and CvR are both negative.
Meta holds 55.29% of spend with +3.31% ROAS and +2.55% CvR, a second consecutive week of aligned positive signals, which makes scaling it the lowest-risk move right now.
Pinterest at 0.47% posted +7.98% ROAS and Microsoft at 1.01% posted +7.34%, both are significantly underfunded relative to their returns. Redirect YouTubeâs budget into these two channels this week and review mid-cycle before committing to the full shift.

What Works:
Clarity Builds Confidence - The oversized âMicrodoseâ headline simplifies a complex medical offer, while the supporting line keeps the proposition approachable and lowers cognitive load for curious prospects.
Clinical Visual Reassures - The isolated vial and syringe make the product format instantly clear, while the restrained green palette creates a calm, controlled visual language that supports trust.
Branding Feels Cohesive - The âhersâ branding, product label and âweight loss by hersâ lock the offer into one recognizable system, strengthening recall while keeping the creative visually premium.
For unfamiliar products, lead with one plain-language concept, show the delivery format clearly, and use restrained design to reduce uncertainty without weakening perceived sophistication.
