đ«ąRufus Can Now Buy Without Asking You First
Before: a shopper searches, compares, reads, decides, clicks. Every one of those steps was a moment a brand could win or lose the sale. The entire discipline of Amazon optimization got built around influencing that sequence, one click at a time, across years of testing headlines, images, and prices against each other.
Now: Rufus places orders with no prompt at all. A calendar trigger. A price threshold. A standing preference set through Shop Direct. The reorder just happens, with the shopper not actively shopping in that moment at all, and no competing listing ever entering the frame.
The comparison step some brands were built to win doesnât happen anymore. Thereâs nothing to click through. Nothing to compare. The decision already got made once, and Rufus is simply executing it again, quietly, in the background, without a competing option ever crossing the shopperâs screen a second time.
That changes where the real competition actually sits. It used to be every purchase. Now itâs the first one, because winning that single first decision can mean winning every silent reorder that follows behind it, potentially for months without a single moment of renewed consideration.
One: the product that gets chosen first is the one that keeps getting bought, on autopilot, for as long as the standing preference stays in place. Losing that first decision to a competitor doesnât just cost one sale. It quietly costs every reorder that would have followed behind it, compounding in a way a single lost sale never used to.
Two: what actually wins that first decision is trust built before the click, not persuasion during it, since thereâs no persuasion moment left once autonomous reordering takes the wheel.
Reviews, genuine usage content, and real social proof do that work upfront, in a way a checkout-page discount or a retargeting ad never gets the chance to once the loop closes.
Three: this is exactly the kind of content Stack Influence builds toward. Creators purchase the product on Amazon with their own money, use it, and generate the specific, credible content that actually wins a first-time buying decision before an AI ever gets the chance to automate the next nine purchases behind it.
You can sign up in the next two weeks and take 10% off your first campaign, or book a free demo call before a competitor locks in the reorder that should have been yours.
The purchase moment didnât disappear. It just moved earlier, and for a growing share of shoppers, it may only happen once.
đ Google Updates Search & Ads
Google announced new updates across Search and Google Ads, including a major change for Local Services Ads, new AI Search traffic figures, and more advanced brand measurement tools.
LSAs Move In August - Google will begin a phased rollout in August 2026 to bring Local Services Ads into Google Ads, giving advertisers one place to manage campaigns, leads, calls, and reporting.
Same Model, Better Management - The new campaign keeps the existing pay-per-lead pricing and still appears only on Search and Maps, while automatically syncing business information and photos from Google Business Profile.
AI Mode Ads - A new SE Ranking analysis found Google AI Mode displayed text ads on 29% of commercial keywords, but advertisers were cited as sources only 11% of the time at the domain level, showing that buying ads and earning citations are largely separate.
Enhanced Brand Lift - Google introduced Enhanced Brand Lift Studies, allowing advertisers to measure lifts as small as 1.2% instead of 2%. The feature requires about 3Ă more budget but improves positive lift detection by 60%.
Google is making campaign management more unified while expanding advertiser measurement tools and providing new data points around AI Search, reflecting its continued push toward an AI-first advertising ecosystem.

What Works:
Usage Feels Effortless - The âpour, stir and sipâ instruction reduces cognitive load by making preparation feel immediate, while âno shaking requiredâ removes a familiar friction point for protein buyers.
Demo Builds Understanding - Showing powder falling directly into clear water communicates the product format faster than copy alone, helping shoppers instantly understand how clear protein differs from traditional shakes.
Premium Nutrition Positioning - The warm editorial lighting, refined typography and structured benefit callouts make the supplement feel elevated, while protein, electrolytes and zero sugar strengthen perceived functional value.
Show the product during its simplest use moment, then pair the visual with one friction-reducing claim. This improves product comprehension and makes trial feel easier.
