🌍 Taking a winning creator ad into a new market: dub it or rebook locally?
Your best creator ad is crushing it in the US, and the holiday plan includes the UK, Germany and Canada. The fastest option is to subtitle or dub the winner. The slower option is to brief local creators.
Neither is always right. The answer depends on what made the ad work.
Ask what’s carrying the ad
Watch your winner and score where its power comes from:
The demo: the product doing something visible. Demos travel well with subtitles.
The creator’s voice: humor, slang or a personal story. Voice rarely survives translation.
Local details: prices, currency, shipping promises or seasonal references. These need replacing in every market.
Demo-led ads are good candidates for translation. Voice-led ads usually need a local creator. That rule of thumb is my judgment.
When local creators are the better route, keeping them coming is the harder part. Insense helps you build a roster of vetted creators you can book every month, rehire the ones whose ads performed and keep lifetime usage rights on everything they make, which settles whether rights cover a new country.
Each creator also delivers 20+ raw clips, so one shoot can be recut into hooks for several markets. You can book a free strategy call by November 6th and get $200 toward your first campaign.
If you translate
Use burned-in subtitles in the local language, since many viewers watch with the sound off.
Replace any spoken price, currency or delivery promise with on-screen text you can localize.
Get written consent from the creator before using AI voice dubbing or altering their speech. Their agreement for one market rarely covers a cloned voice in another language.
Check that usage rights cover the new countries.
If you rebook locally
Brief local creators with the winning structure, including hook, demo and proof, and let them rewrite the words in their own language and humor.
Test both in your biggest new market
Run the translated winner against two local versions for two weeks. Judge them on cost per purchase. If the translated version holds within about 20% of the local ones, translate for the remaining markets. If it falls behind further, rebook locally. That 20% threshold is my judgment.
Mind the calendar
Holiday timing differs by market. Black Friday matters in the UK and Germany, while shipping cutoffs vary by country. Local creators can reflect that naturally, and a translated US ad will need its references checked.
Before you translate anything
Score your top three creator ads on demo, voice and local details. That tells you which ones can cross borders this season.
📊 Snapchat broke out with double-digit returns, and almost no one noticed
Last week delivered one of the cleaner mid-Q4 signals in recent months, costs fell on several high-spend platforms while returns improved on channels that have been underallocated for weeks, making this the most actionable reallocation setup heading into the November push.
The Breakdown:
CPC - Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest all saw click costs fall while Snapchat pushed sharply higher, where CPCs dropped alongside improving ROAS like Meta and TikTok, push proven creatives harder now before Q4 holiday auction pressure starts absorbing the gap.
CAC - Meta, Google, TikTok, and Snapchat all improved while YouTube and Pinterest worsened; YouTube’s CAC deterioration after last week’s positive signal is a reversal pattern worth acting on; reduce spend there and hold until both CAC and ROAS stabilize in the same week.
ROAS - Snapchat led at +11.41%, and TikTok posted +4.22% while Pinterest (-3.45%) slipped; Snapchat’s CvR and ROAS both improving simultaneously at under 1% budget share is the most underleveraged signal on the board; open a meaningful test budget there before the holiday window tightens.
Meta holds 55.98% of spend with +3.85% ROAS and growing share, four consecutive weeks of positive signals make it the anchor channel going into November, with confidence. Snapchat at 0.65% posted +11.41% ROAS and +11.02% CvR in the same week.
Redirect YouTube’s budget into Snapchat and TikTok this week, set CAC ceilings before any holiday spend increases go live, and don’t let Pinterest’s share stability mask two consecutive weeks of return deterioration.

What Works:
Scarcity Creates Demand - “Out of stock” turns inventory loss into social proof, signaling strong demand while making the upcoming restock feel more desirable without needing a discount.
Color Holds Attention - The coral, blue, and pink sections create a strong pattern interrupt, while oversized packs and floating gummies keep visual hierarchy focused on the products.
Sellout Builds Trust - “You wiped us out” makes customers feel responsible for the demand, creating community validation and reinforcing that these flavors already have proven product-market fit.
Turn stockouts into acquisition creative by showing the sold-out products, celebrating demand and driving shoppers toward restock alerts before interest fades.
